1965 CHRYSLER 300L CONVERTIBLE, 4 SPEED STICK!
This is one of the rarest 60’s Chrysler made, only twelve 300L convertibles were produced with the 413 engine and 4 speed stick shift transmission.
60 years later who knows how many are left, 4-6?
This might be the nicest of the few in existence.
The convertible spent over 10 years at a restoration shop in Arizona, getting a super nice and very expensive paint job in original black to start with.
Most of the chrome was rechromed, the stainless trim was professionally polished, brakes were rebuilt, front end rebuilt as needed.
The 413 was sent to the premier Mopar engine builder in the Southwest and got a complete and thorough rebuild and some upgrades to add a little power.
The 4 speed transmission was also rebuilt.
A new, perfect black leather interior was ordered from Legendary Auto Interiors. A new black conv top was also ordered.
Some NOS pieces were sourced, the light up grille 300L emblem for example and also tail light lenses, rear gas door 300L emblem etc.
The original radiator was recored, new starter, water pump, alternator, rebuilt carburetor, motor mounts and on and on.
An aftermarket set of 17 inch Mopar ralley wheels were installed with custom ordered 17 inch redline tires. Much, much more work was done. All in all over $70.000 has been spent over the last 10-12 years.
Right now the car is being assembled, the engine and trans are going back in the car, the new leather interior will be installed and the new convertible top installed.
The restoration should be finished sometime in June and it will be available for sale at that point.
And the price will be set when the car is finished.
